The America Group Process

“This process is a lot different than I thought it would be. No one has ever asked me those questions before.” We hear this, or some version of this sentiment, from new clients every day. Their typical experience has included brief conversation with an advisor focused on increasing their rate of return or even putting them on a budget. We know that’s not the ideal approach to positively impacting lives, so we do things differently. Our ten-step process starts with conversation, and asking your permission to explore issues such as:
  • What do you like most and least about your financial situation?
  • What would you improve?
  • What’s been your past experience with your finances?
  • What would you change if you could go back five years?
  • How would you describe your ideal financial advisor?
This allows us to get to the heart of what you really want, and just as important, what your tolerance for risk is. From this point, clients will experience:

#1 – Getting to know you

During our initial interview, we ask a series of open ended questions to ensure we understand your goals in order to determine if there is an opportunity to serve you.

#2 – Describe our unique approach

Creating efficiencies with your existing resources and avoiding unnecessary loss will be our main focus.

#3 – Financial Questionaire

Let us know your financial history, fill out a confidential questionnaire

#4 – Discuss Compensation

We have options for commission and/or fee-based solutions and will educate you on the pros and cons of each so we can make educated decisions together toward the best course of action for you and your family.

#5 – Discuss Future Introductions

In working together, hopefully you’ll find value in the education we provide, we’d love to meet those that you feel should also learn about the education we provide.

#6 – Review Financial Questionnaire

In the second meeting, we review the financial questionnaire. This allows us to better understand where you are today, financially, and is critical to helping you get to where you would like to be.

#7 – Find Inefficient Strategies

After reviewing your overall financial situation, our advisors will work with you to determine if there are any areas where you could be losing dollars unnecessarily that could be reallocated to either improve your current lifestyle or your future lifestyle in retirement.

#8 – Discuss Alternatives

Any inefficiencies discovered in your current financial situation will be discussed with you along with ideas for using these dollars to achieve your financial goals, more effectively.

#9 – Create a Plan

The America Group works on a team approach, where we may involve several advisors with different areas of expertise, to create a long term plan to assist you in achieving your financial goals and objectives.

#10 – Take Action

Implementation is the most important aspect of every financial plan. Our advisors work diligently to ensure the implementation of your plan goes smoothly.
